Rules for Presidents
This is a card game that can be played with 3 or more players. The preferable number of players is 4 people. If more than 4 people are playing, it is recommended to use 2 decks of cards.
The object of the game is to get rid of all of your cards first. The ranking of cards is such that the 3 is the LOWEST card and the 2 is the highest card (thus the order from lowest to highest is: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A, 2). Suit doesn't matter in the game.
The entire deck is dealt to all of the players. For the very first hand, the player holding the 3 of clubs starts the game.
Everything depends on the first card that's played. If the first card put down is a 4 of hearts, the player to the left can put down any single card of equal or higher value. For example, the player could put down a 4, 5, 6, j, q, etc. You cannot play a card of lower value than what is already on the table. Play continues to the next person in the circle. If a person doesn't want to put down a card, or doesn't have a card to play, he or she can "pass" and it skips to the next person in the circle.
The pile is "closed" when no one has any cards left to put down, or someone puts down a 2. 2's automatically close. Whoever put down the last card to close the pile is the person who starts the new pile and can put down any card he or she wants.
